Spent the day Friday touring some of the monuments. Did a loop of the White House, Washington Monument, WWII Memorial, WWI Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, and one I'd never seen before, 56 Signers of the Declaration of Independence Memorial, which I rather liked (I'll post pictures later). I talked to Wyatt after getting the heads up about the posts on his Facebook. The only thing I could think to do was call Stuart's cell phone, and Wyatt picked up. How surrealistically morbid.

Good weekend at Mom's. Took Friday off, got a few things done, including covering the pool and finally getting her set up with high speed internet. Good Sister came down with the kids Saturday. Prince puked on the way up, and Posh caterwauled for an hour on the way back. Very odd for both of them. Also came home with a box full of Dad's tools ( Read more... )

So I survived the new students this week... barely. Ugh. Had a nice weekend, though - went to Chesapeake Pride up in Annapolis this weekend with Ro and Kyan (whose boyfriend went to Gaylaxicon in San Diego - weird!), and ran into a bunch of friends from MCCC. Ended up winning a raffle of a large collection of booze, much to Q's drunken delight ( Read more... )

Quincy's busy matting and bagging two new pieces of his artwork for Gaylaxicon this weekend, and I just finished putting everything together for Thalia's artwork as well. (She did fairly well at Conjecture last weekend - sold half her pieces, which isn't bad.) Now I need to pack and get everything ready to head out tomorrow after work ( Read more... )

• Work is, as usual, kicking my butt. Love my co-workers (for the most part), hating the owners, and the drudgery and low pay are taking their toll. Still keeping my eyes open for something new, but the pickings are slim (although sent out quite a few resumes this week).
